Many people have predicted the end of the world, and some of them have provided a remarkable level of specificity about the events that will occur. Obviously, most of them were wrong, as we’re still here. However, some of these predictions haven’t been disproven because their dates for the end of the world have not yet come, and this latter group includes the family of 2012 prophecies.
While 2012 prophecies have excited some official comments, there is much more speculation on the Internet. There is almost always at least 2012 thread active on most forums, many sites discuss it extensively, and many bloggers with philosophical bents comment on the phenomenon.
What is the significance of 2012 prophecies? The reply is that they all are derived from the basic fact that 2012 is the last year in ancient Mayan calendar system. Those believe in Mayan prophecies take it as the prediction that 2012 is the end of whole world. Due this prediction Mayan scholars did not feel any need to create another calendar beyond the year of 2012.
The people interpreting the data draw different conclusions as to what exactly will occur in 2012. According to some, a tremendous natural disaster such as a meteor impact will occur. Others believe that the phrase “the end of the world as we know it” doesn’t mean that the planet will be destroyed but that some lesser calamity will befall us. We do know that a galactic eclipse will occur on December 12, 2012, and that such events occur only once every 28,600 years. Those who believe the 2012 prophecies think that this heralds some hugs shift for the Earth and its children.
It does not specific mention that skeptic people are abundant in number. Although a lot of Mayan predictions have turned out to be true, some skeptic people have cited many logical inconsistencies so far as 2012 forecast is concerned. Their arguments include a simple thing like that Mayan scholars may have not found enough time to bring out a new calendar due to end of Mayan culture. Another argument is that the set periods of Mayan calendar covered a period more than a modern year of twelve months and it might have 2012 as the last year. Their opinion is that ending of Mayan calendar in 2012 is of no importance.
There are innumerable arguments for and against any conceivable explanation, which isn’t surprising given how vague the prophecy is. But it’s clear that the argument cannot be settled until 2012 itself, when we find out what, if anything, occurs.
We can only hope that 2012 will pass without any problems. However, due to the fact that there are several catastrophies predicted, you should learn how to prepare yourself for year 2012. To learn how to survive 2012 visit Year 2012
